🖌️ BHS Seniors- Painted Skirts & Jeans 🎨
Seniors are permitted to wear painted jeans or skirts to the Senior Awards Assembly on May 1st. They can also wear a college/career shirt that represents their future plans. Please note that all jeans and skirts must be school appropriate in length and NO HOLES!
* Students may also wear regular jeans that are not painted if they choose.

Kaitlyn Hall was chosen as the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen from Benton High School. The qualities of a good citizen include dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. Kaitlyn has represented our school well. Tiger Pride!

Round 2 of the playoffs starts Friday. Benton will host Ruston starting at 7:00pm. Come out and Pack the Pond and help us cheer them on!

🏈 Reminder: Incoming freshman football parent meeting tonight. Please park in the student parking lot and enter in through the doors that students enter through for school. The meeting will be in the auxiliary gym.
📢 SENIORS: Scholarship Offers Deadline Extended 📢
Attention Seniors!!! The deadline to turn in Senior Scholarships for the awards assembly has been extended to Friday, April 25th. Please email or put copies of offers in the red folder in the library. Mrs. Turner can make a copy of it if needed.
🥎 2nd Round Playoff Game 🥎
The Lady Tigers softball team will take on Destrehan in the 2nd round of playoffs Tuesday (04/22) at 4:00pm. They are asking everyone to wear purple and come get LOUD!!! The Tigers are back at home this evening at 4:00 vs. Jena. Then again on Saturday at 1:00 vs. Nac Central.

❤️ JROTC Bataan Death March 💙
In memoriam of the Bataan Death March, 50 of the LA-951 Cadets walked/ran a combined total of over 510 miles, honoring the sacrifice of the American and Filipino WW2 soldiers who were forced to walk 65 miles in scorching heat while stranded in the Philippines as prisoners of war.
Additionally, our cadets took the time to pick up trash as they marched, accumulating roughly 75 lbs of trash throughout the morning. We are so grateful for all who participated, and their efforts to honor our armed service members, and keep our community clean!

April is the Month of the Military Child. To show our support of the military students here at Benton High, we would like everyone to wear patriotic colors in support this Friday!
April 11, 2025 - Wear a combination of Red, White, and Blue tops in support of all Military Children. Students can also pay $5.00 to wear jeans. All funds will go directly to our Military Connect Club.

We would like to take a moment to recognize our 3 amazing Assistant Principals., Coach George, Dr. Neill, and Mrs. Wienk. From working extra curricular activities, being a listening ear to both students and staff, working behind the scenes to make sure our students are on track to succeed, and ensuring that our school runs smoothly each day. They each play a vital role in our school's success.
