NJHS is open to all 8th grade students who exemplify high academic standards and exemplary character. A formal induction ceremony will occur at a future date for all candidates who wish to join.

Students may wear jeans and a gold shirt on 9/26 for a $5 donation. Jeans must be blue in color, no holes or rips, and no designs. Jean shorts are not acceptable. Gold/yellow shirts must be appropriate length and cannot be a hoodie. Students who are not dressed appropriately will call home for a change of clothes.
Students will be dropped off in the carline.
Don't forget to support your HMS Cross Country Team while repping your Haughton spirit and purchase a Haughton Koozie! These can be purchased for $5.00 from Mrs. Addison in the front office. All proceeds go to HMS Cross Country.
Yearbook Picture retakes is scheduled for 10/25. This is for students who were absent or did not like their picture.

Mrs. Loar’s 6th Grade APP math class reviewed for their Unit 1 Test today by playing Guarantee or Gamble! They worked with their groups to come up with the correct answers to the review problems. If they get it correct, they get to guarantee themselves 1000 points or take a gamble and spin the wheel!! See, math can be fun!
Don't forget students who were present all week get to wear Buccaneer shirts tomorrow. Remember no hoodies are allowed.
Last week, 6th grade science is learning about population stability, increaces, and decreases. They made birth and death token models (adding and taking away organisms) and graphed births and deaths over a period of time to show population stability, increasing, or decreasing over time.
