October is Bullying Prevention Month. To promote Bullying Prevention, we’re having a poster contest! Students are invited to create a poster showing what Bullying Prevention means to you. Some ideas are: Be a Buddy Not a Bully, Bulldogs STOMP Out Bullying, or Be an Upstander Not a Bystander. Be creative! Please use a regular poster board. No foam board or presentation board please, as they are too heavy to hang on the wall. We want to line the Main Street hallway with your amazing artwork to show everyone that Bullying Stops HERE! Turn in your completed posters to our Counselor, Mrs Williams, by October 25th. Winners will receive a Book Fair coupon!!!

We are looking forward to our AR Night with our 1st Grade parents tomorrow night!

K-3 Literacy Screener Home Connect letters will be coming home today, September 19th, in DOG binders. The Literacy Screener is a quick screener given to Kindergarten through Third Grade students 3 times a year as a data point in foundational literacy skills that lead to a student's reading success. We use these screeners to determine necessary interventions or enrichments, and progress monitor in between to see how each student is progressing towards their reading goals. The Home Connect letters explain your child's results from the beginning of year screening and give some ideas of how you can support at home.
