We talked to our students about this change today. Students have been asked to begin wearing them tomorrow if possible. Starting Monday it will be part of our uniform policy, and students will get uniform violations for not wearing them.
Student IDs must be visible to all faculty and staff. They cannot keep them in their backpacks or bags. This will be added to our student handbook as well.
Thank you for understanding and helping us implement this change.

What: Rock Your Socks for World Down Syndrome Day!
When: Friday, March 21
Every year on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks. March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Down syndrome chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!
Students and staff are encouraged to wear their most colorful socks, mismatched socks, or blue and yellow socks to support this day and prove that we are all more alike than we are different.
