Calling all actors, actresses, set, and costume designers...
HMS 7th Grade proudly presents an Adaptation of Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol"
If you don't want to take on a performance role, you may sign up to design set pieces, work as ushers, or serve by creating programs and advertisements for the play.
Below is an attached copy of the script for A Christmas Carol, a novel by Charles Dickens, a play version adapted by Frederick Gaines. The script may still be edited to meet production needs. However, you can get a good idea of the novel unit we will be studying when we return from Thanksgiving and consider a part you might want to play in our production.
Auditions will be after school on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Read over the script
You do not have to have it memorized to audition; just be familiar with it.
Think of ways you can ACT out your part, not just say the lines.
If you try out for a speaking role, you must be prepared to practice and perform.
Practices will be Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday after school until 4:30 until the performance.
Performance in front of student audiences will likely be 12/13 during school
Performers will need to be available for a Saturday show on Dec. 14 at the Haughton Christmas Festival at HMS (time TBA).
Any student taking part in the adaptation will receive bonus points for this quarter.
